The St Louis Gateway Chapter was host to the Annual Mid West Association Educational Conference on March 24 & 25. The two day conference held at Syberg's in Maryland Heights included several seminars and a vendor showcase.

Speaker: James Bowman, the National Technical Manager, HVACR for RectorSeal, a leading manufacturer of quality products for the Professional trades presented a comprehensive and detailed discussion on what causes refrigerant leaks. Understanding types of corrosion and acid, both internal and external, to refrigerant piping. Methods of prevention, detection and repair, as well as the Pros and Cons of chemical leak repair products were be discussed. (0.5 PEU Credit)

Speakers: Greg Brunts, Sr. Technical Service Advisor at NORTEK Global HVAC presented a 2 PEU seminar on Micro-Channel Evaporator and Condenser coils. Micro-Channel is the latest in efficiency technology and its characteristics are much different than what we’ve be used to.
